Patrick O. Okigbo III is the Founder and Principal Partner at Nextier, a multi-competency public sector advisory firm focused on building a society we all want to live in. Nextier seeks entry points to infuse pragmatic ideas on how to solve some of Nigeria’s most challenging problems. The firm, which is a conglomeration of firms, has subsidiaries in electricity, security and conflict issues, public policy and governance advisory, and strategic communications. Okigbo started his career as a management consultant with Accenture working in their Lagos office but with projects across the West African region. He was a Vice President with Citigroup Corporate and Investment Banking in New York and Washington D.C. before returning to Nigeria to work at the Chief Financial Officer/ Head of Strategy at Transnational Corporation Plc. Prior to founding Nextier, he worked as Special Assistant to a former President of Nigeria. Okigbo holds an Executive Masters in Public Administration from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
He has a Masters in Business Administration from Emory University in Atlanta where he was the Graduation Class Speaker. His undergraduate degree was in Agriculture from the University of Nigeria where he was the Best Graduating Student in his department. Okigbo sits on the boards of a number of national and international organisations with interests in real estate, technology, communication, and power. He has a keen interest in the interface of culture and arts and their promise for developing societies.
