Dr. Ovunda Jack Omodu a relentless apostle of Africa's quest for development, a distinguished philanthropist and is very passionate about Nigeria. He has been a fellow of the West African College of Surgeons since2012 with a specialisation in surgery and urology.
A consultant urologist who has assisted in drastically reducing the outflow of patients on medical tourism overseas through the use of advanced medical technology in the surgical treatment of illnesses related to the prostate, bladder and kidney. He is a cerebral contributor and erudite resource person on topical issues of national and global importance.
He has been published by medical journals and is an active member of several medical institutes and associations and a beneficiary of numerous local and international awards in his field of discipline and otherwise.
He has served in more than a few professional and political positions which include Rivers State Hospital Management Board, Rivers State Council of Health and Research Ethics Board, Association of Resident Doctors UPTH, Medical & Dental Consultant Association of Nigeria RSGH, Head of Surgery, Head of Urology at the Braithwaite Memorial Specialist Hospital, Port Harcourt
He is the Founder and Chairman of Primerose Prostate Savers Foundation and also the Chief Medical Director of Colworths Medical Centre founded in 2009
He is married to Erika Omodu with 3 children, speaks French and enjoys reading, tennis and swimming in his spare time.
