Florence Kayemba is a journalist, development communications specialist, program manager and researcher on security issues. Her primary interests are in preventing and countering violent extremism, terrorism and mass atrocities, which also include processes of disarmament, demobilisation and reintegration (DDR), transitional justice, children and armed conflict and also security sector reforms in sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East.
She is a Harvard -trained leader and organiser with close to 20 years professional experience in the media and development sector in East and West Africa.
Florence is currently the Programme Manager at Stakeholder Democracy Network (SDN), an international non-profit organisation with offices in London and Port Harcourt. She holds an MSc in Security, Conflict and International Development from the University of Leicester.
