Olusegun Oriye is a professor of Architecture and Urban Studies involved in teaching and research on human settlements and public service at the Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Ikeji-Arakeji, Nigeria. He has a PhD in Urban Studies from the Ondo State University, Ado-Ekiti.

The University of Nigeria, Nsukka graduate of Architecture, Class of 1979, has a Master of Science degree in Urban & Regional Planning from the University of Ife [now Obafemi Awolowo University], Ile-Ife (1983) and a PG Diploma in Financial Management from what is now known as the Ekiti State University.

With 40 years of extensive professional practice, public service and academics he has been involved in the production, execution, monitoring, and development control in campus facilities master plan; and as Director of Physical Planning in the state, federal and private universities, he has been extensively involved in planning and architectural design, construction and facilities management, contract management.

He is registered with the Architects Registration Council, Town Planners Registration Council of Nigeria, a member of other academic, professional and humanitarian bodies and is one of the less than 10 people who are Fellows of both the Nigerian Institute of Architects and the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners.

Prof. Oriye is the Chairman of Interbuild Associates and the Senior Pastor of Royal Heritage Christian Centre, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria.

He is currently on sabbaticals at the Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, Nigeria.
