Learned Helplessness

“E go better” is a phrase that reveals the depth of our helplessness in Nigeria. Learned helplessness has become our reality, we have relinquished control over outcomes and have retired ourselves to “fate” even when there is hope for a solution. The terror of what our past has done to us (frustrated expectations and sociological disorder), has so distorted our view of the future that anytime we find anything remotely normal, we become paranoid and apprehensive.
