An under-appreciated feature of a journey is the street food and local delicacies. Ozoz takes us on a trip around the world via the stomach, and shows how she translates her discoveries into re-imagining Nigerian food. Ozoz Sokoh loves food, writing and photography, in equal parts. She considers herself a ‘Traveller by plate’, exploring the world through the lens of Nigerian cuisine and discovering connections dictated by history, climate and palates. Her desire is to celebrate fresh & vibrant flavors and textures in ‘The New Nigerian kitchen’. She hopes to establish an African Food Repository where culinary history is documented and programs that underpin food systems with creativity and sustainability are developed. She believes this is vital for food security and a reduction in food waste.
